preparations
this is the 4th lesson for the spanish class which i'm taking. i don't have any pictures yet (when i have i'll upload them). there are 5 other friends who're studying with me and this teacher who's really quite humorous. his name's colin.
recently i'm feeling the stress of preparing to go overseas "for good". thinking about finance, language, the packing, buying air tickets and other things cause me to realise that i'm *really* leaving in 3 months time. i'm so nervous! i've had 2 dreams about being at the airport and forgetting to bring something... one time it was my passport. that qualified as a nightmare. and the thought of having to tell my boss and colleagues is also quite nerve-wracking.
on the other hand i'm looking forward to the adventures i'll have there and the growth i'll be experiencing. i realise that growing isn't always fun and can be painful... but i believe that my trust in God will really grow.
what's gonna happen? where will i find the resources to cope with it?
Psalm 121
A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
