farewell

today ee lee flew off to santiago... a few of us went to send her off. no one cried this time... hee... i think it's because ee lee was warning them not to cry! :P

there were about a hundred people sending her off! it attracted the attention of quite a few bystanders - they were probably wondering who this girl is. some celebrity?

i hope to visit her in santiago next year - take a week off to travel there and back by bus. i've read and heard that long-distance bus trips in south america can be quite eventful... with livestock coming on board. it will be a mini-adventure in itself... haha!


speaking of adventures, i went to catch some pirate-y adventuring in the afternoon. POTC3 is ok, although rather long. if you haven't watched the 1st 2 movies, you might be a little lost 'cos the plot and some jokes referred to what happened in the past. having read that there was an extra scene at the end of the credits, we stayed to watch it, only to be disappointed - we sat through 10 minutes of credit rolling to see a 30 second ending. haiz.

i've also crammed in time to buy a laptop in preparation for my trip too... it's a 12" lenovo 3000 v100. i'm calling it "Lenny"... hehe. i got it at the pc show cramming with about 2000 other people. usually i'd avoid such places, but i visited this show 3 times this week to scout for laptops. big sacrifice. :P i'm using it to blog now. i'm ready for bed, i've had quite a packed day! :D
