cooperation

today i got together with the camp drama team for yet another skit. our final one together? i thought we won't work together after camp but then a request came in this week and we're up again. maybe if we're really popular we should charge. muah hahaha! joking only. skali God wanna charge us then we know.

it was a little different tonight. maybe it was because we took really quite some time to come up with the skit. wah can sense that ideas were less free-flowing than in the camp. perhaps it because during camp the adrenaline levels were higher, so the brain work faster also. plus i think the skit outlines in camp were much more defined.

we started about 745pm... then our requester came down to watch us at 830pm. wah really quite kan cheong 'cos we haven't thought of what roles and how the skit would flow. plus it's service leh! never acted in service before. but then this guy just sat by the side and hardly watched us, only giving feedback when we asked - we were left to discuss and debate our ideas with one another.

we debated for some time... at one point we even abandoned whatever we had worked with and came up with a totally new script. and then after debating some more we went back to the original script. that took quite some time.

finally we settled on a final script, and practiced it a few times. man, it's quite tiring for everyone. sharon was sick too. but i'm really glad to have the opportunity to work with them again. i've never known them personally before the camp, but during those 4 days our relationship was built by going through thick and thin together. we kept our eyes on our common goal and encouraged one another. i think working together with this team really enables me to see what God means about how the body of Christ works.

reminds me of what i learnt as a child about cooperation from sesame street. everyone has ideas and when we work to put them together, in the end something much better comes up. i found this clip on youtube... enjoy! :D
